Terms
These are the terms I work to. They're written plainly on purpose.
Quotes
Quotes are free and follow a site visit. A quote is valid for 30 days and covers the work described in it. If something is found once work starts that wasn't visible from the ground, I'll stop and agree the change with you before carrying on.
Booking and access
Work is booked for a day, not a time slot. I need access to the tree and somewhere to park within reasonable distance. Please move cars, garden furniture and anything breakable before I arrive.
Permissions
It's the customer's responsibility to tell me about Tree Preservation Orders, conservation areas and any covenant affecting the tree. I check where I can, but I can't cut a protected tree without written consent.
Weather
Climbing in high wind or lightning isn't safe. If the weather stops the job, I'll rearrange for the next available day at no extra cost.
Payment
Payment is due on completion, by bank transfer. Larger jobs may need a deposit, which I'll agree with you in advance.
Cancellation
Please give as much notice as you can. Cancelling on the day may incur a charge where I've turned down other work.
Standards
All work is carried out in line with BS 3998:2010, Tree work: Recommendations.
