Tree and hedge work across the Mendips
Everything below is carried out by me, to BS 3998:2010. If you're not sure which one you need, ring and describe the tree. That's usually enough to point you the right way.
Tree pruning
Crown thinning, crown lifting, dead-wooding. The most common job, and the one where good cuts matter most.
Crown reduction
Reducing a tree's height and spread while keeping its natural shape. Not the same as topping.
Tree removal
Felling, sectional dismantling and rigging in tight spaces. Pollarding where a tree should stay but be kept small.
Hedge trimming
Trimming, reducing and removing hedges. Arranged visits for landlords, agents and schools.
Emergency tree surgeon
Storm damage, wind-blown branches, fallen trees. Domestic only. Call-outs from £250.
Stump grinding
Grinding a stump out below ground, or full removal where you're replanting or building.
Also available
- Site clearance and overgrown gardens
- Ivy removal
- Woodland and land management
What I don't do
I stick to trees and hedges, so I don't offer lawn mowing, fencing, landscaping, tree or hedge planting, tree surveys or written reports, or firewood and woodchip sales. If you need any of those I'm happy to say so on the phone rather than waste a visit.
