Call-outs start from £250 and rise with the size of the job. That covers turning up quickly with the kit to make the site safe. Anything further is quoted on the spot.
What counts as an emergency
A tree or large branch that has already failed, or is clearly about to, and is threatening a house, a car, a road or a person. Storm damage after a bad night is the usual call.
What I do first
Make it safe. That might mean removing the hung-up limb, clearing the drive, or cutting a fallen tree off a fence so it can't move further. The full tidy-up can wait for a normal working day if it needs to.
Domestic only
I cover homes and gardens. I don't take on commercial or highway emergency work.
Sending a photo helps
A WhatsApp photo of the tree and what it's near lets me tell you straight away whether I can come, and roughly what I'll need to bring.
Common questions
Will my insurance cover this?
Often yes, for storm damage to your property. Photograph everything before any work starts, and ring your insurer before you commit. I can provide an invoice describing the work for your claim.
How quickly can you get here?
Depends where you are and what else is running that day. Ring and I will tell you honestly. After a big storm everyone is calling at once, so I will always say what is realistic rather than what you want to hear.
What if the tree is on the neighbour’s side?
The tree owner is normally responsible for it. Where a tree has come across a boundary, the practical answer is usually for both households to agree on the spot and sort out the detail afterwards. I can make it safe either way.
